GoVerifyMe (“GoVerifyMe,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), operated by NBG Insurance Group, provides a verified online presence for licensed insurance agents and a way for consumers to connect with them. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to two groups of users:
- Agents: licensed insurance producers who create a profile, subscribe to the service, and use GoVerifyMe to display their license, carrier appointments, and contact information.
- Consumers: visitors who view an agent’s public profile and may submit a quote request, schedule a call, or otherwise contact an agent through the platform.
2. Information we collect
From agents
- Identifying and professional information: name, email, phone, business address, agency name, NPN, headshot, license images, carrier appointments, and other content you upload.
- Billing information: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full payment card details; we receive only the last four digits, brand, and a token reference.
- Account activity: logins, profile changes, feature usage.
From consumers
- Quote-request and contact-form submissions: name, email, phone, state, and any message content you provide.
- Communications: the content of messages you send through the platform or to an agent via their listed contact methods.
Automatically
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, and referring URLs.
- Strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not currently use advertising cookies.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
- To verify an agent’s license status using public records from the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) and similar state-licensing data sources.
- To route consumer inquiries to the agent whose profile the consumer chose to contact.
- To process subscription payments via Stripe.
- To send service emails (account, billing, security) and, where consented to, marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and prevent fraud or abuse.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as follows:
- With the agent you chose to contact, when you submit a quote request, schedule a meeting, or otherwise reach out via that agent’s profile. The agent is independently responsible for how they handle the information you send them.
- With service providers under contract who help us run the platform — for example, Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (billing), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (hosting). Each is bound by confidentiality terms.
- For legal reasons — to comply with valid legal process, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GoVerifyMe, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer — if GoVerifyMe is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all assets, user information may be transferred subject to this Privacy Policy.
5. Communications and consent
When you submit a contact or quote-request form on an agent’s profile, you consent to be contacted at the phone number and email address you provided. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS by replying STOP, and opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link.
6. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as the agent’s subscription is active and for a reasonable period after cancellation to satisfy legal, tax, and audit obligations. Consumer inquiries are retained for the period needed to deliver the request and to address any follow-up.
7. Your choices and rights
- Agents can update or delete profile information from the dashboard, or request account deletion by emailing the address below.
- Depending on your state of residence (e.g., California, Colorado, Virginia) you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as required by law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by sending a notice to your account email.
